Kate will be out of town for a few weeks. In the meantime there are several new posts here and lots to look at on the sidebar links.

Jim loaned me his 20mm lens. I tried it for street shots but it's hard to get close enough to use the lens' potential. So here are a few shots from my garden. I really love the soft background bokeh created by opening the aperture all the way and letting the lens focus on a sliver of space. Also, these were shot in RAW format, something new for me. Why didn't I do this sooner? The control over the parameters of the image is amazing.
